April 8 - 10
Thank you all for an awesome hackathon!
See you next year!
AUHack is Aarhus University’s largest hackathon. Over a 36-hour period from April 8th to 10th, students interested in IT development and IT design will meet and collaborate intensively over a weekend to create prototypes and concepts. Your goal is not to create finished products, but to come up with ideas, play with new technology and make new hacks. It is an opportunity to share your ideas with different people, build cool stuff, learn from our mentors and just have fun. Our goal is to bring students from different fields of study and universities together and set a framework, where you can carry out your projects and ideas. Students for all study programs are welcome, and everybody is there to help each other and have fun so apply now!
All events are optional. They will be fun, so attend as many as you can!

No. You are more than welcome to make a team before the hackathon, but loads of people come without a team. We will help everyone finding a team friday when people arrive. We recommend groups of 3-4 persons, but anything between 2-5 is allowed.
Sure, you should definitely attend! Whether you have written lots of code or just have a creative soul, this hackathon needs you! In true hackathon spirit all students are very friendly and willing to help each other out.
No. Thats not fair. You can come up with ideas, but not build them. You are of course allowed to use libraries, frameworks and templates for your hacks.
You have the fantastic opportunity to learn new stuff and make new friends, isn’t that just great? Everyone will be a winner!… Okay, we will also have some awesome prices at AUHack. They will be revealed at a later date.
There will be rooms to sleep in, that is if you have time! You will have to bring your own bedroll, sleeping bag and pillows though.
After your registration is confirmed and you have received word from us that you got a spot at AUHack, we will share travel information on how to arrive at Aarhus University. If you are a large group of students, we will most likely be able to send a bus to your University.
The address is:
Finlandsgade 21, 8200 Aarhus N.
Need to have: Laptop, cellphone and your chargers. A sleeping bag, pillow if you need, toiletries, clothes and a well-rested and open mind. If you want to hack on hardware, you might need to bring it yourself.
You won’t need to have: a pre-determined team, an idea for a hack, or food and drinks. There is absolutely no reason to bring illegal drugs or bad mood.
